I don't know if you have thought about it this way before but - at your essence - you are, figuratively speaking, a computer and battery.  Your brain is the computer of course, and your body is the battery.  Life Support System might be a less objectionable term for some.  Nevertheless, it is a kind of electricity that keeps you alive.

It is not your typical kind of electricity.  No, this is more of  a chemically-based electromagnetic force we are talking about here.  In fact, any time you talk about chemistry - inside your body or not - you are always talking about this chemical kind of electricity.  In fact, every single atom in the universe has this same kind of 'electricity.'

That's because - even with the smallest atom - Hydrogen - you still have one proton, one neutron (in the nucleus) and one electron spinning around the nucleus.  These three things working together create an electromagnetic charge.  And it's this charge that makes MRIs, CAT scans and other such things work.  They need to 'read' this electronic charge that runs your body because it literally keeps you alive!

If you doubt this, I ask you:  what is the difference between a young person and an old person?  It's energy.  What's the difference between a sick person and a healthy person? It's energy.  Our life force literally is dependant on how much energy we make and how well it moves around the body!  REMEMBER:  Life equals energy and energy equals life.
